CARLISLE, Pa. – Senior Kathleen Magner was a perfect 4-for-4 as she recorded four goals on four shots Saturday afternoon against Dickinson. The Red Devils posted 12-goals in the first half to pick-up the 19-5 Centennial Conference victory.
Dickinson opened the game with four goals in the opening five minutes to take an early 4-0 lead. Magner got the Owls on the board at 22:59 when she scored on a free position shot.
The Red Devils added another foal three minutes later before junior Magner scored her second goal of the game with help from junir Ashton Dwyer at 18:51.
Dickinson tacked on four more goals over the next six minutes to take a 9-2 lead. Senior Katherine Kilmer netted her seventh goal of the season with an unassisted tally with 7:25 left in the half.
The half ended with the Red Devils adding three goals to take a commanding 19-5 lead.
Magner scored the first goal of the second-half on another free position shot at 22:38. Dickinson answered with five spread over the next 18 minutes.
Magner's third and final goal of the game came at 3:54 to cut the Owls deficit to twelve, 5-17. The Red Devils ended the game by adding two more goals and securing their first conference win of the season.
Magner led the Owls on the day with four draws while freshman Jessica Shill scooped-up a pair of groundballs.
Freshman Katie Alpert posted 10 saves on 29 shots.
The Owls are back to action when they travel to Notre Dame (Md.) on Thursday, March 27, for a non-conference showdown with the Gators at 4:00 pm.
