Lacrosse Falls to Franklin & Marshall

BRYN MAWR, Pa. – Visiting F&M recorded 13 first-half goals as they the Diplomats downed Bryn Mawr 19-0 in Centennial Conference play Wednesday afternoon.

Franklin and Marshall opened the game by rattling off six goals in the opening 10 minutes of play. Over the next 10 minutes of action, they pushed their lead to 11-0. The Dips added two more goals in the final eight minutes of the half to take the commanding 13-0 lead.

In the second half, six different Diplomats tallied goals as they earned their 9th win of the season and third conference victory.

Leading F&M was Claire Jackson with three goals. Four others tallied two goals each.

Freshman goalie Katie Alpert posted nine saves while senior Kathleen Magner tallied six draws. Alpert, senior Tanya Hamid and freshman Diana Kelley scooped up one ground ball apiece.

The Owls are back to action on Saturday, April 5, when they take on Ursinus at 1:00 pm in Collegeville.
