Ursinus Defeats Lacrosse in League Play

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The host Ursinus College Bears blanked the owls 14-0 in Centennial Conference action Saturday afternoon.

Ursinus opened the game with back-to-back goals on free position shots. Over the next seven minutes they added three more to take a 5-0 lead.

The Bears tacked on seven more goals over the remainder of the first-half to take a 12-0 lead into halftime.

Ursinus' Zoe Barnett-Ohori netted the only goals scored in the second-half at 15:19 and 9:20.

Freshman goalie Katie Alpert tallied eight saves and scooped-up a team-high four ground balls. Sophomore Megan Kilmer and freshman Diana Kelley tallied a pair of ground balls each.

The Owls are back to action when they travel to Washington College on Wednesday, April 9, for a 7:00 pm showdown with the Shorewomen.
