BRYN MAWR, Pa. – Senior Kathleen Magner netted a team-best three goals as the Owls fell to visiting Haverford 19-9 in conference action Saturday.
The Fords jumped out to a 5-0 lead during the opening first seven minutes of action. Bryn Mawr got on the board at 21:17 as Magner netted her first goal of the game.
Haverford scored five more times before the Owls got an unassisted goal from junior Ashton Dwyer with 7:30 to play in the half. The Fords added four more goals in the final six minutes of the half. Magner split up the goals with help from sophomore Claire Johnson with 2:52 remaining on the clock. Haverford held a 14-3 lead at halftime.
Haverford scored twice in the opening 11 minutes of the second half. Johnson and Magner connected again at 17:48 while sophomore Georgina Dominique netted an unassisted goal just over a minute later.
Both Haverford and Bryn Mawr exchanged one goal each as Averi Gaines went between the pipe for the Fords and Dominique scored her second goal of the game at 12:45.
Haverford tacked on two more goals in the final six minutes of the game to pick-up their seventh win of the season with the 19-6.
Bryn Mawr returns to the pitch when they host Rosemont on Monday, April 14, at 4:30 pm.
