Lacrosse Falls to Muhlenberg in Conference Play

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Muhlenberg College netted 15 goals in the first-half en route to a 21-1 Centennial Conference in over the visiting Bryn Mawr College Owls Friday evening.

The Mules scored four goals in the opening six minutes of action before senior Kathleen Magner got the Owls on the board with an unassisted goal at 24:28.

The Mules tacked on 11 more goals in the first stanza to take a commanding 14-1 lead at the half.

Muhlenberg came back in the second and tacked-on six more goals as they earned their 8th win of the season and second in conference play.

Muhlenberg was led by Stephanie Umbach with five goals and three assists. Fourteen others recorded at lead one goal in the contest.

For the Owls, freshman Katie Alpert scooped-up five ground balls while junior Alyssa Young and freshman Jessica Shill grabbed three each. Magner added a pair of draws. Alpert added 12 saves on the afternoon.

The Owls return home for their final home game of the season on Thursday, April 24, as they take on Bryn Athyn at 4:30 pm on Senior Day.
