Young Nets Bryn Mawr’s Only Goal Against #7 Gettysburg

GETTYSGBURG, Pa. – The seventh-ranked Gettysburg College women's lacrosse team defeated Bryn Mawr 20-1 Saturday afternoon in the Owls' season finale.

The Bullets opened the game by scoring four goals in the opening six minutes of action. The Owls got on the board at 23:26 when junior Alyssa Young scored her first goal of the season.

Gettysburg added 10 more goals over the remainder of the half to take a 14-1 lead into the half.

The Bullets tacked on six more goals in the second half as they claimed their 14th win of the season.

Senior Kathleen Magner tallied one draw and one groundball while freshman goalie Katie Alpert scooped-up two groundballs. Alpert added 11 saves between the pipes.

The Owls finish the 2014 season 6-11 overall and 0-9 in Centennial Conference play.
